Intermediate Surveillance TrainingCourse
This is an ideal course for ex members of the armed services or private investigators who wish to enhance their knowledge and skill level.
Combining an intense knowledge input along with a scenario based practical session, the candidates will comprehend and experience the complexities of carrying out foot and mobile surveillance at challenging and exacting locations that require planning and understanding.
This course is intensive and rigorous, working mainly on practical issues with concentrated periods of foot and mobile surveillance.
Our instructors will give in depth coaching on the use of props, cover stories, dealing with public transport, and a focused input on legislation surrounding surveillance.
Candidates will cover the following areas of surveillance on this course:
- Risk Assessment
- Mobile surveillance - planning & positioning
- Mobile surveillance - vehicle trackers
- Public transport
- Car parks
- Static surveillance
- Matrimonial surveillance
- Anti-surveillance techniques
- Understanding RIPA and working for local authorities and public bodies
Our Instructors
Our instructors are timed served ex police officers who have spent most
of their professional life seconded to dedicated surveillance units
/ national crime squads and qualified to provide instruction in the
use of surveiilance as approved by the Association of Chief Police Officers
(ACPO). As well as recognised qualifications our instructors bring a
wealth of experience in the use of surveillance in civiian circumstances.
Administration
All equipment and refreshments are supplied, along with stationary and
course notes.
The intermediate surveillance course is for one day starting at 08.30am and finishing at 6.00pm. A certificate is presented to each candidate on completion of the course.
This course has been designed to complement our introduction to surveillance course, however if you have previous experience of being involved in a covert surveillance environment this course will be a valuable asset to your knowledge base.

Candidates should be physically fit and hold a full current UK driving licence.
