Introduction to Surveillance Training Course
This course is aimed at those with no or limited experience in the use of covert surveillance.
The course follows a structure that will instruct particular competencies a candidate should be become familiar with to successfully engage in a surveillance environment. These competency modules are directed towards creating a knowledge base that will be used in a surveillance enquiry later in the course.
With a short introduction into surveillance the instructor will immediately concentrate on preparing the candidates for engaging in a surveillance operation.
The course is intense with an emphasis on learning the practical elements of surveillance. With the course split between the classroom and field work, it concludes with a real time surveillance operation involving the foot follow of a subject.
This surveillance course will set the candidate up with the knowledge to embark on their first surveillance investigation. Further surveillance courses are available following completion of this course.

- Information and intelligence gathering
- Planning
- Evidence gathering and record keeping
- Foot surveillance
- Mobile surveillance
Our Instructors
Our instructors are timed served ex police officers who have spent most
of their professional life seconded to dedicated surveillance units
/ national crime squads and qualified to provide instruction in the
use of surveiilance as approved by the Association of Chief Police Officers
(ACPO). As well as recognised qualifications our instructors bring a
wealth of experience in the use of surveillance in civiian circumstances.
Administration
All equipment and refreshments are supplied, along with stationary and
course notes.
The course is for one day starting at 08.30am and finishing at 6.00pm. A certificate is presented to each candidate on completion of the course.
Candidates should be physically fit and hold a full current UK driving licence.
Course price: £199.00 incl vat. (Maximum of 6 candidates)
Courses are held regularly throughout the year at a location in Nottingham city centre*. A deposit will be required to secure a place.
